I am now almost paperless

It’s taken such a long time to reduce my paperwork. I now own only the following:

  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate
  • Will
  • Valuation of assets
  • Vaccination certificate for children
  • Share certificates
  • House and Contents Insurance (still waiting for paperless option)

I have a few empty spare notebooks, one half filled

Warranty receipts are scanned and placed on google photos.

This makes it so easy to move. All valuable documents are in one folder that can be carried with me on my travels.

I had one last folder of paperwork in the bottom of a cupboard.

It contained newspaper clippings I wanted to keep, a style portfolio, a few magazine articles that type of thing.

Did I want to keep it? Yes.

Did I want to lug the level arch folder from residence to residence? No.

Did I want it accessible wherever I travelled to? Yes.

I decided to screen shot each page using my iphone, edit and then save onto ebooks as a PDF.

And just like that I have my paperwork pdf version on ebooks that travels with me everywhere, and an empty folder to recycle.

Another piece gone and one I don’t have to pack!
